This multi-media track for snare drum is a part of a larger collection that focuses on introducing technology and creative compositions to beginning level percussion. The student will learn beginning to intermediate skills in this piece.

FIRE is about the energy, potential, and consuming nature of fire. The piece begins with the striking of a match and the lighting of a candle, with the player using rim clicks, stick rubs, and buzz rolls to imitate the crackling sounds of a fire. The fire begins to spread out of control, and it culminates in a roaring blaze. When all is consumed, the fire burns itself down to a flicker.
